COVID-19 School Screening

As the COVID-19 surge continues in our county, we want to keep our students and staff healthy with a safe campus when we return to class next week. It is vitally important that you keep your children home if anyone in your household has come into 'close contact' with a COVID positive person within the past 10 days.

For example, if you attended a gathering on New Year's Eve and found out today that someone else at that gathering tested positive for COVID-19, you should be isolating until at least 10 days after New Year's Eve (Jan 10th). Assuming you show no symptoms, you could attend classes on Monday, Jan 11th.

The county defines 'close contact' as being within 6 feet of someone for at least 15 minutes-- those minutes can be all at once or spread out over a day.

If your child needs to stay home from school for any reason, please call or email the office. In compliance with current county COVID-19 requirements, we have to know why a student is not at school so as to eliminate or confirm COVID symptoms/cases.

One last reminder. When we do come back to class on Monday, don't forget to fill out the online COVID screening (link below) and give auntie Pam and Mrs. Beardshear a big thumbs up that you did it! We have to have this filled out every morning before your child enters campus.
