Our Background


New Harvest Christian School is near downtown Oxnard.  We are located in Ventura County - serving the cities of Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura and Camarillo.  Our campus is conveniently located near Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) which includes Point Mugu and the CBC Base.

We are a non-denominational Christian school. We have many different denominations represented among our student body. All are welcome but should know that we believe and teach Biblically based Christian principles. We are united in our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. A more detailed summary of our beliefs can be found in our Statement of Faith.
    
Located in the heart of historic downtown Oxnard, New Harvest Christian School's mission is to disciple children to know God, to make Him known, and to be confident in their unique identity in Christ, all while providing a first-rate classical education.

Offering education from K through grade 8, our students go on to some of the best high-schools and colleges in California and beyond.
            
Founded in 1995 as Morgan Creek Christian Academy, New Harvest Christian School is non-denominational and has families from over 15 different churches from Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, and Port Hueneme. Our students are from diverse backgrounds and we focus on unity through faith in Jesus Christ.

NHCS is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

​Jeremiah 33:3 is my favorite Bible verse: "Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know."
This verse has been powerfully demonstrated in my life. Students in my classes will see prayer modeled during Bible, as current events might warrant, and as Holy Spirit leads.

"Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things." -- Phil. 4:8. Keep my ming focused on God's will. No whining!

It's a long one, but Psalm 23: 1-6 has always been my favorite. At first the imagery caught my attention-- almost like a poem. When I grew older I actually slowed down and read it for meaning and it is still my favorite reminder that God is always with us and will always provide for us. "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
